Lenders Join Up To Fight Against Prejudice

In Quebec, quite a few number of major lenders in Canada has come together to joined up in making sure certain values like equal opportunity, honesty which also includes clarity and inclusiveness are promoted in the city.

 

A benevolent act of generosity was done by the financial community in Quebec, in retort to a tragic event that recently took place in the city. The community set up an amount of more than $3.5 million. The fund is made available for awareness programs for school and also to help those establishments and organisation that are working with young people.

 

It is a strong belief by the organisations that the most suitable and effective means of dealing with harassment, prejudice and discrimination is through education, and that includes fund which will be used to help finance and be invested in ENSEMBLE, Institut Pacifique and Equitas, which assist and work with the younger generation to provide a society free of harassment and discrimination.

 

The fund that was established was put together by organisations which included RBC, Sun Life, Intact Financial, BMO, TD Bank, Scotiabank, iA Financial, CIBC, National Bank and Manulife.
