Nova Scotia

Peggy’s Cove

Starting in this maritime province, glacial rock mountains, fishing villages and scenic landscapes are a permanent fixture. Peggy’s Cove is the home of the famous lighthouse that was built in 1868.

You can also take long walks on the beaches, lay by the water with a good book, picnic. The options are endless! Check out Margaret’s Bay. While we are still in Nova Scotia, Cape Breton is a must-see especially if you are fan of Alistair MacLeod’s stories for the setting for most of his stories. So what else is there to do? You name it: hiking one either one of the 26 trails in Highland National Park; salmon fishing in the Margaree River; a day playing golf or even the Cycle the Cabot or Celtic Coastal Trails. Don’t forget the seafood, now. If you appreciate the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, then why not give a stay at one of the inns or hotels around the Cabot Trail.

 

British Columbia

This small district that lies on the west side of the Vancouver Island is home to 1,800 residents who are as warm as the weather. Activities here include; hiking, whale watching, hot springs, kayacking just to name a few. If you are an inquisitive one, you can go a day-trip to the Maquinna Marine Provincial Park that is home to natural springs.

Whitehorse

Also known as the home of the midnight sun, Whitehorse is the best place to see the Aurora Borealis. You might know it as the Northern Lights. If you have been here before and is looking for new things to go, here goes:

hiking, canoeing, forest-exploration, ice fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing. Want a more quiet place to relax with your partner, go to Sundog Retreat which is just outside of Whitehorse.

Banff is home to the Alberta Rocky Mountains but that is not all. It also has gorgeous hiking trais, countless photo opportunities in Lake Louise’s vicinity.
