A real estate firm, JLL, brokered the deal to have the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto sold off for a top asset price of a business deal per room. The deal was done on behalf of Kingdom Holding Company.
The CEO of an NFL club, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shahid Khan, who also happens to be the owner of other firms’ bought the hotel off JLL. Despite the interest showed by other potential buyers, an amount of $225 million was paid for the hotel by the first-time buyer, Shahid Khan.
The senior Vice President for JLL, Mark Sparrow said; “The property’s prominent location and proximity to Four Seasons’ global headquarters generated a depth of international investor interest. The size of this transaction exemplifies the strength of the Canadian lodging market, with Toronto, as an international gateway market, experiencing particularly strong hotel fundamentals and global interest.”
