Red Tape To Be Revoked For Developers

The most pivotal issue concerning the housing affordability in the Toronto Real Estate Board is supply.  Based on what the board’s director of market analysis said, in order for the issue to be addressed and dealt with, the province and municipalities should restructure the procedure for building licences or the go-ahead for development.

 

Mercer commented; “It takes a little bit longer to implement things like that. That’s why we’re really trying to impress that now is really the time to start looking at that.” A government spokesman told CBC Toronto that provincial numbers put forward is not the problem.

 

He further said; “More residential units were approved than were built between 2011 and 2015.” The province is looking at other various causes behind the reason why the units are finding a hard time getting into the market.
