Canada’s Prime Minister Offers Support To Florida Gay Community
It’s not news to us that Orlando is going through a tough time and mourning the loss of family members that were found to be part of the 49 gunned down during the mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning. Others were left injured and rushed to the hospital while they battled to stay alive. The world came to attention and grieved with the people of Orlando and the family. Political members and dignitaries also sent their love, support, condolences and message to the LGBT community.
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau has also joined the bandwagon and made a declaration that the attack that took place at the gay nightclub is nothing but “an act of domestic terror”. He was bewildered by the event and saddened at the same time after he found out the number of people that were affected by the shooting- both the deceased victims and the injured ones.
Trudeau said that it is an awful thing to know that 50 innocent lives were taken due to this domestic terror attack which was targeted at the LBGTQ community. He added that even though a conclusion hasn’t been reached and the details are not confirmed yet, authorities and forces are still doing their best to investigate and find out any more helpful information concerning the attack.
The wife of the Prime Minister, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau alongside the Prime Minister are sending their sympathiees, support and prayer to the affected families and friends that are grieving the loss of their loved ones and hope for a speedy recover to those injured and in critical conditions because of the attack.
Minister Trudeau said that they stand hand-in-hand with Orlando and are together with the LGBTQ2 society, mourning with them. Friends based in Florida and the United States are also standing in solidarity and showing support and help to them.
