The hope for an interest-rate hike has just been kicked further down the road by the Bank of Canada, with the unsatisfactory export sector in its main view.
Thus, it is proper and quite intentional that the major beneficiaries of the prominent shift in the central bank’s tone will be exporters.
They may have just gotten a gift of a softer Canadian dollar.
