‘Staging’ Method Used To Draw Tenants
At first, it seemed like only residential property sellers were the only one using ‘staging’ as a means of attracting and causing more potential buyers to find interest in vacant homes up for sale. However, it now looks like commercial landlords are taking up the same style and incorporating it in order to lure more tenants.
According to a real estate company, CBRE, they mentioned that commercial landlords are now helping prospective tenants to envisage how well the space of the home can be used by setting it up in a presentable manner, rather than just have it presented as an empty space. When staging up the home, and workspace, offices, study rooms, kitchens, meeting rooms are set up in the empty space which can be later used up by the tenants for their own personal use.
Executive Vice President and GTA Regional Managing Director of CBRE Canada, Werner Dietl said; “First impressions in real estate – residential and commercial – are key in selling a potential occupier on a space. However, unlike residential staging where once a showing concludes, the furnishing is removed, the office staging remains intact even after the tenant moves into the space.”
