William Martini Racing Relies On Blockchain To Surpass Rivals
Leading Formula One Team Williams Martini Racing, who is recognized to be persistent on innovation depends greatly on technology to be a step ahead of its competitors. Recently, the team revealed that it will be using blockchain technology to have an edge over its rivals.
Since its discovery in 1977 by Frank Williams, William boasts of 16 FFIA Formula One World Championships and scored 114 victories. With a global recognition, it has over billion people captivated into Formula One races.
Presently, the team is making research on how to use blockchain technology and have linked with enterprise middleware technology provider Omnitude to discover how blockchain could be used across the team’s operations in a demanding information motivated environment.
Williams Martini Racing has signed a multi-year partnership with Omnitude to discover the possible application of blockchain in the team’s daily business operations.
Claire Williams, Deputy Team Principal of William Martini Racing gave details about the partnership with Omnitude saying: “Williams prides itself on the speed of innovation and engineering excellence. Omnitude links blockchain technologies and enterprise systems making it “easier quicker and cheaper” for firms of all nature to adopt Blockchain, making it possible for the implementation of technology on a larger scale.

Omnitude will also be adding to the test of blockchain technology, branding on the team’s drivers and senior personnel from the Spanish Grand Prix.
