Things Home Buyers Do That Really Irritate Estate Agents

There are various instances that buyers make there agents go nuts. We are not talking about the time you called at 2am letting your agent know that you have seen a really great house on TV that catches your eye. We are talking about the time you almost sabotaged the opportunity to have a great house with a lovely price.

#1. Caring too much about the appearance

One thing about real estate which makes it different from other businesses is that beauty can be fixed at any given point in time. You don’t have to be so taken in by the beauty of a house that you overlook certain faults of the house or think that just because an otherwise great house does not have the color or other aspects of the look you want that can be changed later. Most people do this all the time, but it’s just that nobody talks about it.

#2. Criticism

Nobody wants there house to be made fun of and the seller is no exception. When buying a house it is best to make any criticism when the owner is no around to hear it or you can wait to you are in a different location and discuss it with your agent. This can make it difficult for you to negotiate with the seller after voicing out what a horrible taste of furnishing they have.

#3.Taking too long to make an offer

After seeing the house and deciding it is the one you want, there is no reason for you to keep the seller waiting. This gives the impression that you do not want the house and by the time you decide to make an offer, the seller might tell you its too late.

#4. Listening to the listing agent

There is nothing wrong with discussing things with your listing agent but things can go wrong if done without your agent present. There can be a conflict of interest when you take decisions when your agent is not around to guide you through.

#5. Not taking into account what the seller wants

Most sellers want to know that they have sold there property to the right person because they might be emotionally attached to the house. Sellers can reject an offer when a buyer voices out that they have not been listening to what was being said. This can be shown as a sign of disrespect for most sellers.

Conclusion

When buying a house, it is best for buyers to listen to there agents if they have one. After all you hired them for a reason and real estate agents are good at what they do. If a buyer and agent cannot agree on certain things, they can act as complete fools in front of a seller which is not a good thing when buying a house.
