All-Day Breakfast Introduced At McDonald’s Canada

With the increasing demand of Canadians, McDonald’s has now made it possible for the breakfast menu to be available all day long for the customers at most of their fast-food centres with A&W restaurants as of next month. McDonald’s Canada will be serving breakfast beyond their regular limit at 1,100 of their restaurants from the 21st of February.

Following that, the breakfast program will also be introduced and initiated at A&W Food Services of Canada. There is anticipation that 95 per cent of their stores will go through the change this coming spring.

Based on the executive director of food service for a market research company, NPD Group; Robert Carter, the ever-expanding market for eggs, pancakes and hash browns seems to be more demanding by consumers. Out of 6.5 billion visits made to the restaurants in Canada, 1.24 billion of those visit was made during breakfast according to NPD data.

The number has taken an upwards toll by 6.3 per cent unlike the same time period in the past years, one that happened at the expense of a holdup during other meal times. Carter explained; “When you look at where the growth in the marketplace has come from for the quick-service segment, it’s all the breakfast day part.” He added that most younger and middle-aged people prefer to have a takeaway breakfast rather than prepare their meal at home.

CEO of McDonald’s’, John Betts said; Folks are looking for and have been looking for this kind of offering for the longest time. We know we’re going to do well with it.”
