Door-to-door Sales of Energy Products Banned In Alberta
The Alberta government has endorsed a ban on the door-to-door sales of home energy products to people. The homeowners in the region have spoken up and are also in agreement with the move taken up by the government to put a stop to the sale of such products.
A survey which was conducted online by Insights West took record of about 85 per cent of Albertans who are in agreement with the sanction on door-to-door sales of items including, water heater, furnaces, and other energy products.
About two-in-five Albertans (which is approximately 43 per cent) have come across or been in an incident whereby a salesperson or salespeople came to their homes to sell or convince them to buy their energy products, three times or more. Most of these salespeople are generally from Edmonton.
