Victoria Mansion Gets One Bidder At Auction

The well-refurbished home designed by Samuel Maclure in 1910, is situated at Rockland upmarket area. It was put up for sale at an auction on Wednesday night by Victoria’s housing market. This posh home found in the Rockland area is an over 7,000 square occupying space for residents, with six bathrooms and six bedrooms inside the home. The house is uniquely crafted and carefully detailed.

During the house auction, a pianist played some music to keep the potential bidders entertained while they had a tour of the place before the auction took place. Champagne was served while the sale took place the ballroom. Over 2,000 people came for the auction to check out the house, sadly only one bidder showed interest in the home. There was a disclosed discussion on the bargaining of the price for the house.

A listing agent, Andy Stephenson who works with the Sotheby’s International Realty said that most people do not prefer being put on the spotlight, which could be the reason why most didn’t come through during the bidding process. The auction was graced with Deedrie Ballard and RE/MAX Camosun presence, they thought of the sale as a breakthrough for their clients in the real estate business. She also said she’s not taken by surprise, there has been a show of laid back behaviour and most people have been playing it cool and not stepping up their game.
