Chief Archambault of the Standing Rock Continues to Fight the Good Fight
Chief Archambault of the Standing Rock is still trying to prevent the Dakota Access oil pipeline from happening. His tribe has found it very hand to convince the court to deny permission to the company in charge of building the pipeline. Considering that the deal is worth a billion-dollars and in this day and age, money and talks, and well, you know the rest.
“We’re running out of options, but that doesn’t mean that it’s over. We’re still going to continue to look at all legal options available to us.”
The main reasons why the American tribes are against the pipeline is that it may desecrate burial grounds and pollute drinking water. They do have thousands of persons on their side but that isn’t enough.
Hundreds of people have arrested due to the protesting of the pipeline over the past months.
We were hopeful when former President Obama halted the completion of the pipeline but Donald Trump has trampled on that hope.
