In the Calgary, the sale of homes in the area rose up by 19.4 per cent during last month, with an increase of 3 per cent from December 2016.

The Chair for Realtors Association of Edmonton, James Mabey said, the year has started off productively, with a rise in year over year sales of homes and the selling prices being steady. Although the year has just started, the increase in home sales proposes that the confidence of consumers in the real estate market continues to go up.

For properties like duplexes/rowhouses and condos, the prices went up, with both categories going up by at least 8 per cent, while the price of detached home eased to an average of $416,859 by 0.49 per cent.
