Poll Indicates Recovery By Alberta Economy
The Business Development Bank of Canada made a report that was made public on Monday which indicated that the businesses in Alberta are planning on spending 17.1 per cent extra on technology, training of workers and other investment opportunities.
The small to medium-sized business firms based in the province are becoming more confident and optimistic about this year as they plan to do a whole lot of investing in 2017.
Most businesses had no intention of spending any more than they could as they wanted to cut their spending by 27 per cent a year ago, however, certain factors like the gains on construction that came about from the reconstruction of Fort McMurray and the increasing oil price contributed to the turnaround. According to the businesses polls, 50% of the firms are hoping on the revenues to increase this year from it’s 33 per cent last year.
