Canadian Markets With Most Spaces Offered
In a home price analysis that was recently done for 30 top markets in Canada, it was discovered by the real estate portal Point2 that cities in Quebec have the most residential space for $300,000 for rent.
As stated in the report by Point2, HuffPost Business Canada refer to; “Although $500K is the national average home price, we found that in reality, people are hoping to find homes well under this amount and this is why we decided to look at how much space is in $300,000 homes,”
Quebec City (1,485,000 square feet), the Quebec metropolitan market of Sherbrooke (2,041,000 square feet) and Gatineau (1,887,000 square feet) will offer the most amount of space for $300,000 as at January 2017. However, the study showed that the sales volume capitals, the likes of Vancouver and Toronto didn’t do so well, expected after the hit increase of rates in home price which had been regarded in the market for a couple of years.
Point2 Homes penned down; “According to our calculations, $300,000 would get you 520 square feet in Toronto, which is the equivalent of a tiny bachelor’s pad.” Being the highest demanding housing markets in Canada, 339.00 square feet was made available by Vancouver for that amount. Point2 Homes also stated; “Among the biggest cities in B.C. we looked at, only Abbotsford, the largest city outside the GTA, offers over 1,000 square feet for $300K.”
